If you are like me you are sick and tired of politics and politicians. It seems every election I am told that I must vote for the guy with the “R” behind his name even if I believe he is nothing more than the lesser of two evils. We are told that we have to hold our nose and vote because if we let the Democrat win things could get worse.
The problem with that strategy is even if the Republican wins things continue to get worse. We are losing freedoms every day and our government continues to grow out of control. This past November we were told we must vote for Thad Cochran even though he turned on the conservatives in our state and ran to the Democrats to elect him. We were told that we must vote for Cochran because the Republicans had a chance to take control of the U.S. Senate and if we could just get control everything would be better.
But the Republicans, including our beloved Thad Cochran have already given in to the Obama agenda. We even have retired Senator Trent Lott telling us to just accept Obamacare.
So do we just give up and move to our bunker in the woods? Or, do we continue to fight and change the direction of our country and our state? Mississippi Gun News began two years ago because like most of you I don’t have a bunker in the woods, this is all I have so I decided to fight.
But how do we fight? How do we force the politicians to adhere to the constitution? How to we get rid of those who claim to be for liberty and freedom but continue to vote and support big government?
Last month I attended the Foundation for Applied Conservative Leadership (FACL) Political Leadership School. During this day I learned how politics and politicians work, I learned that it is possible to control them and force them to do the job they were elected to do. I encourage you to make the time and attend one of these training sessions and prepare to take back our state and country.
